Born in Pretoria, South Africa, Jacques has been drawn to the water since a toddler. To this date this young man has logged in excess of 7000 miles on the briny, and loves every minute of it. Whether above or below the waterline, Jacques is at home.
Jacques Phillip Erasmus
He is an accomplished diver and before joining Liberté Jacques worked as a dive master for a dive charter company in Umkomaas, South Africa, site of the world famous Aliwal shoal and holds PADI qualifications. Jacques also has proven his abilities on the water and attended Sunsail Maritime Academy where he earned his Coastal skipper certification and is presently working towards his captains license.
We are happy to have this energetic and charismatic young man join our crew. He is eager to please, comfortable at both work and play, and enthusiastic about all things to do with sailing and the sea. Jacques has a penchant for putting people at ease and strives to go that extra step to make guests feel at home in any port. He can just as easily serve up a cocktail on deck as guide you to the best snorkeling spot. His love for the sea is contagious and his hospitable nature reassuring.
We are pleased to have him aboard and Jacques looks forward to doing all he can to make your next cruise with us fun, comfortable and adventurous.
